We spent today transportings puppies. They were going from North Carolina to Massachusetts. We took 2 legs of the journey. One of the riders was an adorable beagle/bassett hound looking older female. She had a broken pelvis and was going into foster care where she was going to get all fixed up. The other was a real cutie who pulled at my heart strings. And then there were the two devil spawn pups *G* and their brother, a quiet little cutie who spent the entire ride in my son's lap. Guess who pulled at his heart strings? I just kept telling myself we were doing a good thing and they'd find good homes for everyone. If you ever get the chance to take part in something like this, jump at it, it's selfishly rewarding. It was amazing to think there were 5 dogs in the truck, they were all so well behaved and the other volunteers that we met with were very nice.
