I admit it, I'm a real stickler when it comes to spelling. Typos happen,but blatant spelling errors are usually obvious and can't be mistaken for typos.
Over the summer, while on vacation, I purchased some items from a local vendor. It's a pretty rural area. The items were very nice and I looked forward to being able to make further purchases via their web site. However, the web site kept coming up "not found". I kept trying over the last 5 months and finally, the other day, there it was! As I paged through the various pages describing the business, what they had to offer, how to order, etc, I was amazed at the amount of spelling errors. It made me cringe because I couldn't help but think that anyone wanting to order from them would have to question their business sense.
Am I being a snob? And....should I send an E-mail and offer to help? This is a business that was operating out of the person's mobile home. The product is great and stands a chance of becoming a really lucrative one if marketed properly.
Suggestions?
