I have a question. I'll get to it in a second.
Seems that a lot, not all, Republican oriented sites that I co to have a nasty habit of slamming Democrats, actually liberals and the liberal sites slam the president. Rather than presenting their view point in a respectful fashion, it leans towards personal attacks, such as Dean being short, or Bush being a puppet.
So, here's the question - it a respectful way, would you please tell me What this president/presidency has done for you and/or your state?
How has this presidency aided you or detered you. Are your taxes lowered? Is your financilal situation better? Are you employed because of the state of economic, or have things improved for you. Has your state received aid that it wouldn't have or didn't in the past? I think you get the point :)

The tax cuts saved me and my hubby from having to declare bankruptcy.
In February 2001, my husband took a risk and left a secure job for one with a young company created by the tech bubble. We left the state and family and moved. Six months later - the company's financing fell through and my hubby got the axe.
We had to move back to our house that, thankfully, hadn't been sold yet. I was a stay at home mom - no longer. I found a job, my man didn't. Unemployment was not enough and I hadn't gotten paid yet (takes almost a month for that first check)we were having to decide between paying our mortgage and bills or feed ourselves and our child.We were $500 short. That is when that $600 tax rebate check came in - we were saved. Our refunds have gone up thanks to the child tax credit going up. That extra boost we got this year - $400 extra for the kid that came in around June/July was extremely handy. When out and put that money right back into the economy.

Timing is everything and the tax money we got back helped us just when we needed it.
