Rae Plachecki and "24"

Managed to catch up on "24" this week. Did I mention how much I adore Howard Gordon? I do, the man is damn near a god in my book (anyone who does something nice for my child is tops in my book) and he managed to lift Rae Plachecki up there into the clouds with him. Who's Rae Plachecki you ask? Or maybe you know her as the fictional character on this past week's "24". But, Rae Plachecki isn't just a fictional character, she's a real live woman who won the right to have her name in an episode of "24". It was won at Lights, Camera, Auction 6! in Toronto, Canada, this past October (my favorite charity organization - we've been on the staff as charity zombies since day 1).

Howard Gordon is the executive producer of "24" and he co-wrote this week's episode. Both he and Kiefer Sutherland were at the auction, doing a great job as celebrity auctioneers.

Back to "24". For a minute, I wondered if Rae was going to turn out to be the mother of Chase's baby. Whew! Nope, Howard made her an investigator and we heard Rae's name, over and over and over. It was a beautiful thing. Rae is a wonderful person, well deserved!
