How We Spent Our Friday

Yup, that's Garrett behind David Letterman's desk manning the helm!
Who are his guests? Me, his Mom and my friend Larry, who is Letterman's sound engineer.
Larry and I went to college together, many, many years ago!

The show was great, Bill Cosby was the guest and Toby Lightman was the musical guest, she was very good, which I was very thankful for, since we sat through her rehearsals and her singing her song about 4 times.

Of course the best part of the day was seeing Larry. He's still a sweetheart and it's nice to see that some things don't change :) And I love spending a fun day with my son.

Nope, the excitement didn't end there. Larry walked us across the street
where he got us set up with backstage passes for Evanescence.
Their opening acts were
Default and Atomship.
Needless to say, much fun was had! Oh, I forgot to mention how
on Thursday, Larry put Amy Lee from Evanescence on the phone with an unsuspecting Garrett!

The concert was great, especially Evanescence. I didn't realize who
Default was, they were good. The lead singer has a great voice and they
mixed a bit of Zeppelin in there, my all time fav. Yes, I'm a head banger
from way back.

AND....Garrett, who got his driver's license on Monday, drove in the city
(there's only *one* city for this born in NYer, that would be NYC)
Yup, drove in the city. I was so proud! *G* Congrats to Garrett!
