Why is it fair to just say, "I changed my mind."?
But, you said you hated her I changed my mind.
But, you said you loved him. I changed my mind.
But, you said you'd never support that. I changed my mind.
But, you were just saying awful things behind that person's back last week. I changed my mind.
You said they were lower than scum. I changed my mind.
You said they were the stupidest person you'd ever met. I changed my mind.
Do people really change their minds that quickly, or are they just two faced or weak?
Posted by Mickey at March 4, 2004 2:48 PMUsually it means they didn't really mean the original comment as strongly as they said it. It's not that they changed their mind, it's that they formed a quick-and-dirty opinion and overstated it, then found out more later (often by a few minutes)
Posted by: Dave on March 5, 2004 4:20 PMDepends on the person. I agree with Dave's comment - sometimes it's the quick opinion, later changed with more knowledge. Sometimes they're just wishywashy twits. And if you're speaking of the person who you've told us about that does this kind of thing, I'd say it is a manipulative scum trying to mess with everyone.
