Survivor

I've been so busy with the other house that I've pretty much neglected my blog here, so let me get back to discussing trivial things like Survivor! *G*

From NJ.com

At what point did "Survivor: All-Stars" turn into the series' Bizarro World edition? Rupert is incompetent, Amber has a personality, most of the great players from previous seasons are long gone and Boston Rob is suddenly so powerful that he can reach over into the other tribe and tell them how to vote? This is a guy whose previous claim to fame was leading the laziest, most inept team in "Survivor" history, and now he's displaying more muscle than Colby and more savvy than Richard Hatch.

I'm finding it really interesting to watch the relationship between Rob and Amber evolve. Rob was so upset by the turn of events and concerned about Amber, who was fine, she took it in stride and faced the challenge with a smile on her face. The old cliches about a woman making a man weak and being his downfall came to mind, Rob seemed to stop playing the game and went into full rescue mode without thinking through the consequences. Although I think he thought he was displaying strength to the other team, I think he's exposed his weakness. I don't want to see him voted off. I couldn't wait the first time, I couldn't stand him, but his vulnerabilty this time has been refreshing and I like seeing this relationship between him and Amber develop.

Shi Ann (sp) - I think she whines far more than Jerri ever did and does less work, her only saving grace was linking up with Cathy.

Rupert - he still just annoys me and I think Jerri exposed him for the ego manic that he can be.

Lex- wow, the man takes honesty to a whole new level and I admire it, although I'm not sure it's the best strategy. he's the type of person I like though, willing to tell you to your face.

Alicia - I'm impressed she's managed to get her points across without having to get in a brawl every time.

The merge should be interesting. I think Rob's going to have to back peddle quite a bit to regain his "authority".
