DJ went and had "the boys" snipped yesterday. He's such a sweet puppy, I wanted to cry when he came out and was drenched in drool and crying, he was so happy to see us. I was relieved when we got there yesterday to find that Kristen was there, everyone at the Vet's is wonderful, as is the Vet, but she's exceptional and it was a relief to have her there. DJ has barely left my side for over 24 hours now. He's feeling better though.
I took a vacation day last night and stayed home with DJ and slept with him on the bed and the light on. Needless to say, I'm exhausted today, but not really able to sleep. We let him stop wearing the collar and so far, only one licking incident. I can't stand those collars. I can never figure them out once I take them off the first time and yes, I'm proud to say that I am a college graduate! *G* I still say schools should offer courses in the real things in life, okay, so Victorian collars would probably be a special subject, but how 'bout child rearing, check balancing, etc etc
Moose came to join his brothers today. His brothers and sister down in NC had been adopted and his other sister was adopted up here and we have two of his brothers. Now if Petfinder would just please, please hurry up with my application so I can get these pups on line and help them find good homes!
If anyone is feeling inclined and would like to sponsor one of the pups while they're in foster care, please let me know. Any and all contributions are welcome and would go to the purchase of food and toys for the six foster puppies. The rescue is a 501c and all contributions are tax deductible.
