I can hardly believe that it's been 16 years since I brought Spike home. Friday night of July 4th weekend 16 years ago I left work and went up to the pound and picked him up. I didn't want to bring him home when my son was home for fear that it wouldn't work out and he'd get attached. It more than worked out and we all got very attached. He's been gone 6 years now and I still miss him.
