I get so busy that I post the Carnival and neglect adding my own dog posts! This is D'Artagnan, the elder dog in the house.

We have 6 all together. D'Ar was found on the side of the road as a little teeny puppy, who was filled with worms. Of course, I had to take him home (but, of course!) We had Spike at the time, he was probably about 10, his age was unknown because he had been found swimming in the bay before he came to live with us. Spike taught D'Ar well and to this day, D'Ar still sees his sole purpose in life is to protect my son who is a grown man now. D'Ar refuses to respect my son in any way, shape or form and treats him like a little brother. They bicker like brothers too!
Posted by Mickey at September 9, 2006 8:30 PM | TrackBackYou sure can dedicate it to my Ike. Glad to see someone else that is as much an animal lover as we are. Our animals are our kids. Ike was a very special dog. Actually he and Henry aren't really dogs. LOL...They are treated like kings and queens at our house. My husband has taken loosing Ike very hard. That 100 pound dog would climb in his lap every time he sat down on our porch and give his daddy sugars.
Thanks again.
