You are Deer Isle! A small drinking community with a fishing problem, Deer Isle is one of the last strongholds of the true, Maine-bred rugged individualist. Undiscovered and unspoiled (by outsiders, that is) Deer Islanders make their living from the sea and view the outside world as a big, noisy, unsavory place. It is rumored there are still residents of this small community who have never ventured to the mainland. One look at the infamous Deer Isle/Stonington bridge and you might not blame them. One of three bridges of its design, it is the only one still standing. As a citizen of Deer Isle you are probably conservative and traditional. You prefer hard work and "honest" living. The outside world may seem irrelevant to you. People see you as a simpleton but those same critical busy-bodies are exactly why you want to stay the way you are.
