No concept

All winter I would call my husband and wake him up in the morning so he could go fishing. Of course, it was easy for me, I was working midnights, so calling him at 4am wasn't a big deal. Even on my days off, I would normally stick to a midnight schedule and call him. No, I'm on a new shift and at first, I was stunned and a bit annoyed that he couldn't manage to call to wake me up. But, the other day I realized that time and schedules really mean nothing to this man. He never gas to set an alarm clock, he never has to clock in, he lives totally without the constraints of time that most of us are shackled by. I spend most of my time at work surrounded by time. Every report number given out is given with a time. Every report I read has a time, every ticket written receives a time. He works until he's done or the light runs out, I work until it's *time* for me to go home. I go to bed at a certain time, okay, I try to go to bed at a certain time, to insure proper sleep.and I *have* to set my alarm. He rarely has appointments, my datebook seems filled with them.
Just another one of the ways in which we are so opposite. It amazes me some times.
