Sometimes people talk about how other people take for granted that they live in a beautiful place, or that the sky is blue or the ocean a mighty mystery. I try to never do that and it usually isn't too difficult. I know fine art is a beautiful thing, but what finer art than the formation of the clouds in the morning as the sun begins to break through?

This is just too cool Now if it was antibacterial too, that would be great!

I'm a very, very private person. You damn near have to get me against a wall to get me to tell you how I really feel. Since I went back to work Wednesday, everyone has been asking me how the dog is. It seems that everyone knows about Aeryn being skunked. When I was on the third floor the other day (a rare occurence) everyone seemed to know about Sebastian. This is a bit overwhelming for me. One of the guys said he mentioned the skunking because it was humorous, not that she was skunked, but the events etc. It is, I suppose, but still overwhelming for me. I want to just return to being a part of the furniture where people don't questions me about my private life. But, please don't mistake this for being ungrateful, I'm extremely grateful to all of my friends and the great care they gave to our 4 legged family members. I'm just a real private person :)
There's a strong possibility that 'Bass is no longer diabetic. Here's hoping. He's been off the insulin for over a day, yes, I know that's not a lot of time, butthe time between doses gets longer and longer and that's a good thing. He's been to the Vet every day now for the last three days. They're closed today, but the Doc is checking his messages, so we don't feel too stranded. Yes, it's costing me an arm and a leg, last weeks total is a tad under a $1000.00. I toyed with the idea of asking for assistance from a group that helps families with diabetic cats, but I always figure there's someone else that needs it more. I still have food on the table and in the pet dishes.
I appreciate all the good vibes, please keep them coming and spread the word.

You are Form 1, Goddess: The Creator.
"And The Goddess planted the acorn of life.
She cried a single tear and shed a single drop
of blood upon the earth where she buried it.
From her blood and tear, the acorn grew into
the world."
Some examples of the Goddess Form are Gaia (Greek),
Jehova (Christian), and Brahma (Indian).
The Goddess is associated with the concept of
creation, the number 1, and the element of
earth.
Her sign is the dawn sun.
As a member of Form 1, you are a charismatic
individual and people are drawn to you.
Although sometimes you may seem emotionally
distant, you are deeply in tune with other
people's feelings and have tremendous empathy.
Sometimes you have a tendency to neglect your
own self. Goddesses are the best friends to
have because they're always willing to help.

I was thinking before about growing up and all that and how there's a 'net sig line about growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional. I wonder how tolerant we really are of that? Is it okay to have a free sprit type personality or outlook on things as long as you don't look or dress that way? Why is it that I hear things like, "She/He should act their age" or "....dress their age" In the past, say in the '50's, I think that most people were fairly cookie cutter and that the options were somewhat limited. And if you did choose a different style, you pretty much stuck out like a sore thumb. I remember when a woman moved into the house across the street from us back in the '60's. Ours was a typical tree lined street in a nice small town. The house were all occupied by either families, or couples whose families had grown, with the exception of one man who I think was a widower. Then a woman and her two boys moved in across the street. I heard that she was a former Mrs America. She was a 30ish version of Ann Margeret, tight pants, high hair, sweet personality with a soft voice and smile. I think her younger boy was named Jacque, I'm not sure about that though. But, I do know that she didn't "fit in". Of course, at that time, I didn't know anything about divorce or alimony. But, I did know that she didn't look like the other mothers. And I thought that was pretty cool.
When we were in Toronto, late or I should say, early one morning, we were heading out for air and so Mary could have a smoke and there were two young girls in the foyer waiting for a cab. The one was particularly Goth. I struck up a conversation with her about how much I liked her boots and how sad it was that you really don't see many Goths my age. Where do they go I wondered? Do we change because we wnat to, or because we're expected to? Do we change to suit our jobs, or our familes or spouses? What do you think when you see people that don't really "fit the norm" and isn't it amazing how "earth mothers" or old hippies are just so accepted now.
Well, me and my cornrows are off to get a massage. I think about it. I'm also gonna think about how I wantto dye my hair black.
The networks have gone on a script ordering spree:
ABC has ordered four more scripts for four of its freshman series. two from its new TGIF lineup: Hope & Faith and Married to the Kellys; It's All Relative (which paired with My Wife & Kids has been winning the Wed 8-9p hour), and I'm with Her which airs on Tuesdays following 8 Simple Rules.
NBC ordered five add'l scripts of both Whoopi and Happy Family, it's Tues 8p hour.
CBS has ordered six more scripts fo Joan of Arcadia, steadily the #1 drama at 8pm on Friday nights; as well as more for Cold Case, the net's Sunday night 8p drama which has shows promising life.
And even Fox has ordered more scripts - three to be exact - of a series that hasn't even debuted yet: Still Life, scheduled to premiere midseason.
As a reminder, these are the shows the nets had previously announced received full season orders: Las Vegas (NBC), All of Us (UPN), Eve (UPN) and The O.C. (FOX).
And on a personal note, because I a big fan of both Smallville and Angel, the ratings were reports as:
"WB in the A18-49 demo, was fourth for the night, ahead of CBS' 8-11p avg. Additionally, WB's Smallville at 8pm was #2 only to baseball among A18-34 (3.6/11). "

Yep, that means "Angel" stars David Boreanaz and James Marsters are duking it out amongst themselves. Is it getting macho in here, or what?

We're back. We've been back, but due to problems that Sebastian, our diabetic cat has been having, I haven't been able to post, let alone have I felt like it. And did I mention that Aeryn caught a skunk, ugh!
If anyone has any suggestions, we'd appreciate the help. He stopped eating. He's been to the vet, he's had a sub-cu already, he's been on an IV, he is now being force fed baby food. There is no known reason why he stopped eating.
LCA 6 was a success, Kiefer Sutherland is a delightful gentleman and a huge hit with the fans. Howard Gordon was a real treat. It was wonderful to see Alan van Sprang again, he wasn't able to make it last year. And another blast from the past, Dean McDermott, looking as handsome as ever, just ask Mary *G* And Carlo Rota, the epitome of a classy guy. I think everyone had fun, I hope so.
I love Toronto, it's just a cool little city. We *finally* got to go to Casa Loma it's very, very different from Wilson Castle, in Vermont, where we visited this summer. I never did get around to finishing that trip report...hmmm....*G*
And we saw the Concorde on a leg of it's final flight It was quite by accident, thank goodness, because it was a glorious sight, very moving.
Got my hair braided before we left, went with a layered corn row. Took about 3 1/2 hours. I'd like to try box braids, that takes about 5 hours, but I think I'd like that even better. And I like the look of having other colors blended in, that seemed really cool too and he uses synthetic hair, so it isn't all that expensive.
It's wicked windy out there tonight, rain coming down very hard. The Direct TV doesn't go out that often, but it's been pretty shaky tonight.
Hope everyone is well :)
